Awaken from Slumber Daily Prayer

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, understanding the present time, I have awakened from my slumber, because my salvation is nearer now than when I first believed. So I put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let me behave decently, as in the daytime. I clothe myself with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature. I bind compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience to myself–writing them on the tablets of my heart in the name of Jesus. Amen.
