Excepting Truth

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set free you."

Yesterday we dealt Holy Spirit and him being the Spirit of Truth. Truth is the real facts about something. To grow up and mature in God we must allow Holy Spirit to deal with our hearts with truth from the Word of God. I remember working for the Government and came to a place in my career after 27 years that I no longer wanted to compete for my next promotion. I wanted to be promoted but just didn’t have the drive I needed to excel. I developed bitterness, and anger against fellow peers because they were making adjustment to be promoted and I was slowing falling behind. I would go into my job evaluations and expect to be promoted on yesterday’s achievements. It was as if I was running out of air. I had to allow Holy Spirit to deal with my heart the real reason I was not getting promoted. Finally, I got myself together, took additional classes required and got promoted. I stayed two more years after that with a promise from God that I could soon retire. In 2006 I left the government with 30 years of service and in good standing. Truth hurts at times but pays off in the end when we make the right adjustments.
